Biography

I love the beauty of movement and how it informs us.

Creativity, spontaneity, and spirituality all come together for me.
I’ve lived my life with these in mind.

In the early 1970's, Carol began her career in healing as a teacher of early childhood creative movement, adult dance improvisation and as a massage therapist. Her fascination with how people move and how they perceive themselves led her to study directly with Moshe Feldenkrais. She became a Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner in 1983. At the Feldenkrais training, she met Harriet Goslins. They reconnected in 1997, when Harriet invited her to study Cortical Field Reeducation®, to co-lead workshops at Esalen Institute, and subsequently to teach in Professional CFR Trainings.

Carolʼs background is in modern dance, Bartieneff Movement Fundamentals, Cranial-Sacral Work, Postural Integration, Integrated Awareness®, and Transpersonal Psychology. Her Bachelor's Degree is in Mathematics from Rutger's Univiersity. She taught the Feldenkrais Method® through the University of Utahʼs Department of Continuing Education from 1981 through 1998.

As with many people who have chosen a healing profession, Carol draws extensively from her own healing journey. Because of that, she has deep compassion and a personal understanding of the healing process. She is devoted to the role that movement plays in the expansion of health at every level of consciousness.

Carol has two grown sons, a lovely daughter-in-law and five grandchildren. She lives in Salt Lake City, UT where she offers private sessions, classes, and personal intensives. She also teaches in Florida, New York City, and at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur CA www.esalen.org.  Carol offers individualized experiences of learning and healing for each person who receives her help. She is available to travel for mentoring and workshops.
