In-Person Sessions
You will be welcomed into my office in Salt Lake City and receive my full attention to listen to the reason for your visit.
Sessions are designed uniquely for each individual. They include very gentle movement and hands-on work that provide relief.
Your first visit is usually two hours and subsequent visits are from one to one and a half hours.
Virtual Sessions
When the Covid virus grabbed the world, I began doing most of my Classes, Seminars, Mentoring, and Private Sessions on Zoom.
It suprised me how wonderfully effective this medium can be.
Now if you live far from my home base, you still have the opportunity to work with me.

Moving in Wholeness
Moving in Wholeness is my unique way of teaching FELDENKRAIS LESSONS so you can discover deep body awareness and more levels of consciousness. All behaviors, including emotions, have a pattern of movement associated with them. In doing this work you replace unconscious patterns of movement, established early in life, with authentic ones that are more useful to you in present time. You’re gently guided to find internally motivated choices (what you really want), rather than the choices you learned to make to satisfy the expectations of others. The effect is lasting change: the sort of improvement that offers greater vitality, more flexibility in your responses to life, and grace in everyday actions.
I blend intuition with a totally practical approach in my teaching style. Playfulness, childlike curiosity, and humor are encouraged and included as part of the process.

Feldenkrais Method
The Feldenkrais Method® is for anyone who wants to reconnect with their natural abilities to move, think and feel. Whether you want to be more comfortable sitting at your computer, playing with your children and grandchildren, or performing a favorite pastime, these gentle lessons can improve your overall well being.
Learning to move with less effort makes daily life easier. Because the Feldenkrais Method focuses on the relationship between movement and thought, increased mental awareness and creativity accompany physical improvements. Everyone, from athletes and artists to administrators and attorneys, can benefit from the Feldenkrais Method.
We improve our well being when we learn to fully use ourselves. Our intelligence depends upon the opportunity we take to experience and learn on our own. This self learning leads to full, dynamic living.
Ordinarily, we learn just enough to function. For example, we learn to use our hands well enough to eat, our legs well enough to walk. Our abilities to function with a greater range of ease and skill, however, remain to be developed. The Feldenkrais Method teaches—through movement—how we can improve our capabilities to function in our daily lives.
People often regain youthful, coordinated, spontaneous motion. Areas of the body that were unconsciously under-utilized become accessible to bring more stamina, enhanced fitness, flexibility, and balance. Posture improves and stress and pain are reduced.
There are two aspects of the work:
Awareness Through Movement® is done in a group setting.
Functional Integration® is an individual hands-on experience.

About CFR
Cortical Field Reeducation® (CFR) is a healing process developed by Harriet Goslins. Carol has worked extensively with Harriet as a co-leader in 8 day workshops at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA and as a teacher/mentor at CFR professional trainings.
CFR’s group floor lessons and private table lessons are deeply rooted in the Feldenkrais Method. There is however, a difference from Feldenkrais lessons. In CFR, the professional training emphasizes presence, provides personal emotional healing, and awareness of individual energetics and energetic fields. Therefore, CFR practitioners are well equipped to provide help at whatever level of consciousness the student is ready to access; i.e. physical, emotional, and energetic all in the same session.
In addition, there are a series of hands-on lessons that are unique to CFR. These sessions are designed to release long held, unconscious compensations in the body from past trauma. The series offers coherent connections, both energetic and structural, to bring the student back to a healthy, lively state of being. These sessions include elegant movements that are not found in the Feldenkrais repertoire.
